concession opportunity with Forestry England
Tender: Forestry Commission - Forest Nets Concession Opportunity
15 Concessions across the nation's forests

Forestry England are seeking a forest nets concession offer that provides a safe, welcoming space to simulate fun and enjoyment for all ages and joins families together through a connected experience.

Forestry England is the country’s largest land manager, caring for the nation’s forests for people, nature and the economy. The foundation of our organisation is our world-class sustainable management of the nation’s forests. We care for more land and trees than any other organisation in England. From small woodlands on the fringes of towns and cities, to vast areas such as the ancient New Forest, for over 100 years we have been growing, shaping and caring for the nation’s forests.

We manage many of our forests for recreation and welcome visitors to enjoy, explore and experience the woodland environment. We are seeking a partner or multiple partners to install, run and maintain a high-quality forest nets concession offer at several sites across the nation’s forests and provide a market value financial return to Forestry England.

Successful partner(s) will need to work proactively with Forestry England, and alongside other existing site business partners to attract new audiences and provide new and innovative experiences appropriate to the forest environment.

We are looking for an offer that provides a unique tree-canopy experience that allows play through balancing, sliding, climbing, and bouncing to offer an exciting experience and allow families to exercise and have fun together. We welcome innovation and new ideas that enhance the product and provide a greater sense of enjoyment to the participants whatever their age. The offer should be as inclusive as possible, providing opportunities for customers with physical, mental, and learning difficulties through its design, inclusion of specialist equipment and instructor support.

Forestry England will offer a maximum 10-year lease for each of the sites (depending on mobilisations dates) with expiry of all leases in 2033.

Closing date for all submissions is 12.00 noon on 26th January 2023.
