Industry event FIT Summit’s Awards of Excellence recognises leading companies and executives from across health, fitness, wellness and hospitality in the Asia Pacific Region.

Each award is given based on the individual’s achievements and successes in the past 12 months.

This year, the finalists include leading companies such as Accor, AMAN, Boutique Fitness Studios, ClassPass, Collective Wellness Group, Fitness & Lifestyle Group, Hyatt, Les Mills, Mandarin Oriental, Six Senses, Virgin Active, Viva Leisure and many others.

The awards judging committee of over nearly 100 industry experts will now get to work to decide on the winners.

There are 12 awards up for grabs and FIT Sumit has just revealed the first two award winners:

Diana Williams, founder and CEO of Fernwood Fitness, has been chosen as the winner of the 2023 John Holsinger Lifetime Achievement Award. Williams has championed women’s health and fitness for over 30 years, helping millions of women become happier and healthier. She founded and grew one of Australia’s most iconic fitness brands, Fernwood Fitness, helping over 75 franchisees start their own business while advising and mentoring dozens of business owners over the years.

Sean Tan, president of the Singapore Fitness Alliance (SFA) and treasurer of the World Active Forum, has been chosen as the winner of the 2023 Industry Appreciation Award. In the past 12 months, besides leading the SFA, Tan has also become treasurer of the World Active Forum. An often-unsung hero, he constantly champions and fights for our industry, its wider collaboration and its future growth.

All winners of the 2023 Awards of Excellence will be announced on the evening of 13 June at the Awards of Excellence Dinner, as part of the 2023 World Health, Fitness & Wellness Festival, in Singapore.
