Cooley Distillery's Kilbeggan 15 Year Old Irish Whiskey has been selected as the 'World’s Best Blended Irish Whiskey' by a panel of independent whisky experts at the World Whiskies Awards in London.

The panel - assembled by Awards organiser, Whisky Magazine - chose it over competitor bottlings such as Jameson 12 Yr Old and Bushmills 1608 which had made it through to the last round.

Kilbeggan will now represent the Irish as it goes head to head with the 'World’s Best' Blended Whiskies from around the world at the World of Whiskies Conference in Glasgow in April.
