'Cas' fans select club's new kit partner

Castleford Tigers RLC took a unique decision recently in giving its fans the chance of selecting the club's kit supplier for the next three seasons.
A 'Who Would be Your Preferred Kit Supplier?' survey was run over a period of six weeks on the Tigers website, the move being taken by the club to demonstrate the importance of its fan base.
Explaining, CEO Richard Wright said: "Castleford Tigers are a huge part of the local community, with fans consistently showing themselves to be tremendously loyal so it is right and proper that, where we can, we involve them.
"After all, they are the people who will be wearing our replica shirts."
The results of the survey, for which a significant number of votes are reported to have been cast, put sports lifestyle band PUMA in pole position.
John Howarth, Sales Director at Genesis Group International, exclusive licensee for team sports for PUMA (UK and Ireland), said they were delighted to have Castleford on board.
"This deal is a fantastic example of how fans opinions really count towards some rather major decisions for the club. We look forward to the partnership ahead."
