Charles Wells Pub Company exhibited at the National Licensed Business Show recently (co-located with Leisure Industry Week), with the Bombardier Bus taking pride of place.
Visitors had the chance to visit the former London Routemaster bus, which has been converted into a promotional bar carrying the company's Bombardier brand livery.
In addition to providing information about the tenancy and lease opportunities offered by Charles Wells, the company also gave details of its new induction programme for prospective pub retailers.
The Charles Wells Retail Induction Support Programme (CRISP) has been added to the mandatory training requirements for licensees joining the 260-strong estate and is a comprehensive programme covering issues affecting the licensed trade.
Included are topics such as cellar management, credit control, running the back office, health and safety and staff recruitment, training and motivation.
The course includes sessions on 'The Charles Wells Way', Customer Support, Credit Control, Technical Services and Retail Marketing and brand profiles.
More general content incorporates Health & Safety, Licensing and Cellar Management (including the Award in Beer and Cellar Quality exam).
