Simon Overing has joined Core Health & Fitness as European Account Manager
Core Health & Fitness, an industry leader in commercial fitness products, is excited to announce the new hire of Simon Overing as European Sales Manager to work closely with its distributors across Europe and Africa.
Simon will strengthen Core Health & Fitness presence across Europe with his superior customer service and a consultative approach to fitness to improve sales reach, enhance customer satisfaction, and deliver valuable guidance on fitness equipment selection.
Simon has over 30 years experience in the fitness industry, and is no stranger to the company, having started as a service technician for Star Trac back in 2000. In 2005 Simon moved from service into sales and quickly became the top selling Regional Manager for the North. Since leaving Star Trac in 2015, Simon has since worked at Octane, Watt Bike and most recently Matrix as Head of UK Sales.
Steve Jones, Director of Distributor Sales – Europe commented, "I am truly delighted to have Simon joining the distributor sales team to focus on growing our presence in Eastern and Central Europe. Simon brings Industry experience, Core tribal knowledge, a passion for our brands, and a high level of customer focus, all of which combined, will undoubtedly be good for our business!"
In addition to experience in the fitness and leisure industry, Simon brings a passion for fitness as a triathlete, having completed several triathlons, cycling events and Ironman distance races as well as having a passion for strength biomechanics.
Simon says of his role “I’m delighted to rejoin the team at Core Health and Fitness where my sales career started in 2000, we have best in class legacy brands in Star Trac, Nautilus, Stairmaster, Schwinn and an amazing story to tell and I’m looking forward to getting back out to the customers to tell it.
