Pucker up for new confectionery

Specialist pick and mix confectionery company, ICA, is to distribute Pucker Powder to the UK market.
Said to have been initially developed using inspiration from sand-art, Pucker Powder is a display stand that dispenses different coloured fruit flavour powder into clear tubes, which children can then eat on the move.
An innovative interactive feature of the dispenser lets children create whatever they want in their tube, be it a rainbow effect, stripes or just a single favourite colour. The powder pours through optic style dispensers and when the tube is taken away, the release stops and closes.
Flavours include sour green apple, sour lemonade and sweet strawberry and there are three tube sizes. These range from 30cm to 85cm in length and retail at between £1.49 and £3.99.
ICA has initially launched a 12 flavour free standing dispenser which is 180cm tall and 60cm in diameter. Costing £760 plus VAT, the package comes with 36 bottles of powder and 360 tubes split over three sizes with a retail value of £762.89, as well as full installation and training. Further bottles and tubes are available direct from ICA.
A smaller six flavour stand is due to launch shortly and - at 105cm in height - will be suitable for table top or wall mounting.
Initial clients within the UK are reported to include Legoland, Hamleys, Sea Life Centres and London Zoo.
