Access control and door entry systems from BPT Security Systems have been installed at a new community sports facility in London.
The Pavilion is a new £2.8m community facility in the
Stonebridge Estate in North West London, comprising pitches, courts and a multi-use hall, with changing rooms and a café. Work on The Pavilion took 12
months to finish and the site is now managed by Hillside Housing Trust, part of The Hyde Group.
BPT's Impro16 access control system has been installed by Genesis Integrated Systems, with 14 keypad/proximity and proximity-only readers fitted to the four changing rooms and the entrances to the building.
Staff members have tags to freely come and go, whilst authorised visitors are allocated a code which has
time restrictions. Visitors simply enter the code into the keypad within the permitted time frame to gain access to the changing rooms.
The Impro16 supports up to 2,000 tags operating 16 doors.
In addition to the proximity access control, Genesis also installed a BPT System 200 video door entry system, with DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant
entry panels and two Lynea monitors. The entry panels feature tactile illuminated buttons, Braille characters and LED indicators.
The BPT door entry and access control equipment was installed as part of a larger security system featuring CCTV, intruder detection, induction loop and noise control systems.
