Dominating Melitta's stand at Caffè Culture at Olympia in May will be the new HACCP approved Cafina Alpha.
With a unique milk refrigerator which can hold 2 x 4ltr of different types of milk to extend coffee menus even further, its hopper can hold two types of bean to provide for a wider range of tastes.
The Alpha is fitted with a simple animated display which guides users through every conceivable action, from selecting coffee options, through reminders to refill or empty the grounds to direct commands to insert a cleaning tablet. Every machine is fitted with a chip card that provides data for the operator as well as storing all necessary information for service engineers.
The Alpha comes in four different models and a modular cup warmer is also available.
Elsewhere, Melitta's Cafina C5 bean to cup, fully automatic coffee machine has been re-designed to provide a more hygienic environment.
The refrigerated milk container - which is either integrated into the machine or configured as an external unit - now has a digital readout enabling the operator to adjust the temperature according to ambient conditions.
Also, a 2-second cold flush cycle has been added so that the foamer head is rinsed every 20 to 30 minutes to prevent the possible build up of fatty deposits.
Other machines on display will include the award winning, fully automatic Melitta Cup machine, plus the newer Breakfast Cup which can be programmed to produce a cup, mug or jug of coffee, hot chocolate or tea.
Melitta's 600 Series bulk brewer which is the only machine of its type to feature porcelain lined urns, will also be shown.
