Following plans to liberalise the UK's gaming laws - under which it is predicted that the casino industry in Britain will grow by more than 200 per cent - security company Vistamatic has designed the Vistaport.

In an environment where large sums of money are involved - it is estimated that the casino sector could be worth US$2.5bn/£1.3bn/e1.9bn by 2009 - the Vistaport is a revolutionary new circular vision panel which allows an operator to detect any suspicious activity before entering or leaving an area.

400mm in diameter and 21mm thick, the panel can be installed in standard doors and walls and comprises three layers of glass sheet with opaque horizontal bands in a one-piece unit.

The view through the panel is obscured when the free-moving centre sheet is lifted via a simple hand or elbow operated lever mechanism. Customised operating handles can be fitted on both sides, or one side only, or with a key restricted operating system.

For extra security, a High Performance 3M™ Scotchshield™ Safety and Security Film can help to protect areas against vandalism. The film meets BS6206 Class 'A' Impact resistance, BS5544 Anti-Bandit and BS476 Parts 5, 6 and 7 Fire. A further option is bullet resistant glass which doesn't chip or splinter.
