The UK has seen the launch by Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) of Coca-Cola Zero, a new drink said to have the same taste as the iconic original but with zero sugar in it.
Already available in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, New Zealand and the U.S., Zero's launch involved massive TV advertising and sampling and what is reported to be the biggest ever outdoor and digital campaign launched by the company.
Said to be aimed at men aged between 20-29 who drank traditional Coca-Cola when they were younger but who are now looking for a no-sugar option, Zero will be available in 150ml and 330ml cans, a six-pack and fridgepack and 500ml and 2ltr PET packs.
In pubs and bars it will be available in the familiar 330ml original glass bottle.
The launch of Coca-Cola Zero will also see CCE beginning the transition of the 'Z” (Zero Added Sugar) range, including Fanta, Sprite, Lilt and Dr. Pepper, to Zero.
