A Fairytale new ride from ETF

First unveiled at EAS in Vienna recently, The Folorn Fairytale Book is a new dark ride concept from ETF ride systems where the riders themselves decide how they will drive through it.
Produced in conjunction with Hester Kloosterboer, storyline, show design and production; Joravision, scenery design and production; and Lagotronics, special effects, lighting, av and show control design and production, the ride has searchlights rather than a shooting system.
The storyline involves a Fairytale Book lying forgotten on a shelf and whose pages the characters had left to go and enjoy themselves in the woods situated between the pages of the book. The aim is to find all the characters and cause them to appear in a Fairytale Parade at the end of the ride.
Riders progress through a series of Scenes - which show the characters being sought - and a number of Forests, in which the characters are playing. In each Forest, riders can decide for themselves which of a number of different routes to take.
Shining a searchlight on a character in a Forest will make it appear in the parade in Scene 7.
After the parade the ride cars travel along a corridor lined with pictures of all the fairytale characters, the corridor having glimpses into all the Forests. At this point, riders can use their searchlights to either help others find the characters, or dazzle them so they can't!
The duration of the ride is 4.5 minutes, visitors travelling in 4-person ETF Mystic Mover cars on a wire guided track of about 170m in length. The ride has 11 cars, 12 if there is always one in the Station area.
