Plush company Whitehouse Leisure celebrated a new two-year agreement with entertainment giant Disney by giving classic characters like Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh a makeover, with a spaceman Mickey new for 2016. A brand new range of Disney plush included characters from Finding Dory and Zootropolis characters Nick Wilde the fox and the rabbit Judy Hopps. Plush from other famous IPs included the newly acquired Secret Life of Pets and the ever-popular Minions and Angry Birds toys.

Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco launched a new flat- screen edition of its best-selling Star Wars: Battle Pod arcade game. The new version boasts a 42-inch (107cm) LCD monitor rendered with Unreal Engine’s cutting-edge graphics technology, and tilted screens to create a greater sense of immersion. Operators can marry two pods for twin-player capabilities.

An update to Star Wars: Battle Pod
SEGA

Sega launched Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games™ ARCADE EDITION. Players compete in nine Olympic Games events and the multi-player game is controlled by dual joysticks and foot controls.

Pink Panther Jewel Heist is also new, and one of Sega’s most popular games.

Jewel Heist – built by Innovative Concepts in Entertainment (ICE) in the US – is an intuitive, high-speed one-player game with high return potential.

Innovative Leisure

Innovative Leisure launched its new Klime Wallz, a customisable climbing-based fun wall designed to brighten up an adventure zone in any attraction. Available in a range of heights and styles, Klime Wallz is suitable for people of all ages, and particularly appealing thanks to its striking colours. Klime Wallz is available in both static and mobile models.

Timberplay

Play specialist Timberplay presented one of its latest projects, Hasty’s Adventure Park, Clacton-on-Sea, UK.

The play area is designed for older children, featuring a tailor-made climbing forest with net walkways, bridges, slides, balance beams and firefighter’s poles.

The new installation was built beneath the cover of an open-sided cattle shed, providing protection from the rain while retaining an outdoor feel.

Russell Play

Russell Play presented a range of outdoor play equipment and design services. The company has been providing play solutions to the attractions industry for over 30 years, bringing play structures and design services to clients that include theme parks, holiday parks, zoos, farm parks and heritage sites.

Installations are custom-designed for each location from a choice of timber, steel and rope equipment.

Line Cheetah

Line Cheetah is a new app from GFR Tech that allows customers to “cheat the queues” with mobile ordering.

Customers can place food and drink orders, pay for the order and pick it up at a collection point when ready.

Line Cheetah was originally designed for sports stadiums, but is now being marketed to a range of sectors, including attractions, arenas, FECs and bowling alleys.

The app works with existing EPOS systems and can be customised to fit the branding of the venue.
