The Rezidor Hotel Group, in conjunction with the Russia-based Regional Hotel Chain (RHC), is to open the Park Inn City Centre in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.

The 160-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2013, ahead of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Winter Games to be held in the city.

Situated adjacent to the main railway station, the hotel will offer a restaurant, lounge bar, fitness room and business/meeting facilities.

RHC was incorporated in 2006 with the aim of reaching a minimum portfolio of 10 hotels in operation and 10 under construction by 2014.

As of May this year, there are two hotels under construction, five at the design stage and more land plots in the pipeline.

The first hotels to open will be the Park Inn Kazan and the Park Inn Astrakhan, the former later this year and the latter in Q1 2011. The management agreement for Park Inn Yaroslavl was signed with Rezidor in October 2009 and for Park Inn Voronezh in April 2010.
