development opportunity with Lisburn and Castlereagh Council
Development Opportunity
Dundonald International Ice Bowl

Lisburn and Castlereagh Council are seeking to engage with the market, and those potentially interested in providing a solution for the redevelopment of Dundonald International Ice Bowl which is about to exceed the end of its useful economic life. We are looking at a range of options to develop a facility of regional significance, that is functional, accessible, affordable and will be used by all age groups.

The new range of facilities will be the catalyst for regeneration in the wider area, and so we are seeking innovative solutions for a flexible range of Leisure & Family Entertainment facilities which will appeal to every generation, and which are consistent with the Council’s desired outcomes and objectives for the development.

At present, the scheme envisages the following elements:

Proposed Core Elements:

- Olympic Size Ice Rink
- 24 lane ten-pin bowling alley
- Children's Adventure Play
- Café / Coffee Shop

Proposed Opportunity Elements

- Fitness Suite
- Health & Wellbeing
- Adventure Climbing
- Community Hub Space
- Outdoor Play Activity Area
**Other viable activities**

There is also scope for spaces to be developed within the scheme which can accommodate other compatible and complimentary attractions.

We have developed a detailed business opportunity prospectus and supplementary questionnaire. The prospectus provides further information about the opportunity, including high level financial and performance information of the existing facility. The prospectus also sets out a full list of our requirements, as well as the intended role of the Council. We ask that all interested parties complete and return a copy of the questionnaire. The Council are not committed to progressing with any of the solutions that are suggested.

Copies of the prospectus and questionnaire are available by clicking here!
