McFit division partners Wexer to launch premium studio model

Members will be able to access the full Cyberobics library.
Cyberobics – the virtual fitness division of German company McFIT Global Group – has partnered with digital specialist Wexer to launch a premium virtual studio concept. Branded ‘Cyberobics, powered by Wexer’, the model is based on creating premium, standalone Cyberobics virtual studios in clubs anywhere in the world.
Conceived in 2014, Cyberobics has been introduced in 170 McFit clubs, however, this is the first time the content will be made available to a broader audience.
Members will be able to access the full Cyberobics library, which offers cinematic content shot in a variety of locations ranging from Miami’s South Beach to Malibu to the Mojave Desert in North America.
Wexer CEO Paul Bowman said: “Gyms will need to meet a minimum standard of AV to deliver the full ’Cyberobics, powered by Wexer’ experience – and it really is a fantastic experience. It’s been created as a premium package, with world-class Cyberobics classes delivered in an engaging and uniquely designed space.”
Cyberobics managing director Oliver Schulokat added: “With Wexer’s rapid growth in technology, they were an obvious partner for us as we accelerate global distribution of the Cyberobics content. Together, we’re making world-class exercise accessible to more people.”
McFit, which has 1.5 million members and more than 270 branches in seven countries, announced earlier this month that it was planning to open a gym with an innovative membership model that allows users to train for free. Named The Mirai, the club is expected to open in 2019.
