SpaHalekulani, situated within the luxurious Halekulani hotel on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, has launched a new visiting expert programme, focused on encouraging guests to embrace healthy living.

The spa’s Master Series will bring “world-renowned masters of wellbeing” to the property, offering their unique perspectives on health, accompanied by specifically created treatments for a limited time.

The first quest expert to take residence at the spa, in September 2017, will be Japanese facial reflexologist Mariko Hiyama.

Hiyama is an instructor specialising in Sorensensistem facial reflex therapy, a concept combining oriental medicine, needleless acupuncture techniques (Zone Therapy) and neuro-anatomy.

During her stay at the spa, Hiyama will offer guests Sorensensistem sessions, which stimulate reflex points and zones on the face, designed to enhance the natural balancing and healing mechanisms of the body and mind.

“SpaHalekulani’s new programming takes the guest experience far beyond the treatment room,” said Kamala Nayeli, director of SpaHalekulani.

“Our spa is centered on creating transformative experiences through various relaxation techniques that incorporate mindfulness into health and wellness practices, leading guests to everlasting positive change.”

The new Master Series will become part of the spa’s long-running Living-Well programme, which provides guests with the tools to “self-motivate, self-regulate and create lasting change”.

The Living-Well programme includes regular, complimentary educational lectures held at the spa, while guests are also offered personalised consultations and wellness workshops with on-site holistic lifestyle coaches.

The Polynesian-inspired SpaHalekulani is located at the independently owned Halekulani luxury resort.

Launched in 2003, the beachfront spa was designed by Sylvia Sepielli and the ADI Design Group and has seven treatment rooms – including two couple’s suites.
