Spa and hot tub company Catalina Spas is reported to have been the first into the market place with fibre optic lights, plasma screen TVs, integral sound and built-in audio systems.

The latest edition to its range of plasma screen spas was unveiled at Barcelona's recent Internationasl Pool and Spa Show.

The Omega 42 features a 42in plasma screen, seats five people and has three hydrotherapy pumps and 74 jets.

In addition to the screen, the entertainment package features CD, DVD, MP3 player and radio with a 13-speaker system.

The company also exhibited at SPATEX 2006 in February and introduced six new spas to its range, plus new colours and cabinet finishes including bronzed leather.
