Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has chosen retail solutions company D*giPoS to provide a new EPoS platform for their six retail outlets.

The club now uses 43 D*giPoS PowerPoS systems across all its stores, including the Park Lane Megastore and the Spurs Store in Harlow. Retail Business Solutions, an approved D*giPoS business partner, has supplied its RBS-InStore software across the estate.

Outlining the rationale behind the move, Spurs said it had been using the same EPoS for many years and staff were not getting the sales information they wanted. The stores also experience very intense sales periods - both immediately before and just after a game - and needed a system that was flexible, easy to use, Chip & Pin compliant and allowed staff to serve crowds of people quickly and efficiently.

The new system automatically gives the club real-time sales data on demand, allowing quicker stock replenishment during the matches and doing away with time-consuming manual checks. Another benefit is that both staff and customers can now see product and transaction details, keeping customer queries to a minimum.
